Basileus’ Message to the Chapter:

Greetings, Gentlemen,

If adversity is the Mother of character, then our Chapter’s Sons are the children of greatness. There have been several instances in this short year where our Chapter’s mettle has been tested; in response, Xi Phi Chapter has boldly started the 2007 campaign in stellar fashion; a pair of successful fundraising efforts under our belts with several others prominently and positively looming on our horizon, a plan to promote a greater, stronger Black College Tour and last but not least a design on monthly community service that will rival any of our compatriots in the Pan-Hellenic world.

As Chapter President, I insist that our Chapter boldly tread the waters of success so that our tenacity and incandescence is recognized throughout the world, not just the Greek-letter world. I recognize that we have so much to accomplish in such a short span of time and I believe that this Chapter possesses the strength, brilliance and fortitude to achieve these goals.

When it is all said and done, those fondly remembered by all are those who subjugate their personal wants, needs and desires for the benefit of those around them. I sincerely believe that through the adversities and trials that define us, the Men of Xi Phi Chapter will be remembered as such.

Ad Astra Per Aspera,

Jeffrey Covington
